Dealer says it is the purge pump on emissions and they are on back order. I was told they have no idea when they will get one so just drive it until it comes it.Aug 5, 2022 · What I have found works to get around it are 2 things -- 1) Keep your foot on the brake until after you shut the engine off. Also, pressing the brake while you jiggle the shifter can help too. Or 2) exercise the shifter from park to low and back 3 or 4 times. These are work arounds.

In the winter months that little 3 cyl doesn't create a lot of heat so the temp gauge will read lower than in the summer months where it stays about mid point.

I suspect the internal door that regulates outside air is what's causing the whistling. Next time you hear that noise try pushing the recirculation button and see how it changes the noise. Steve.
