I posted this message a few months back, and thought it might be useful for future test takers. I did the following in preparation for the exam. Uworld qbank x 2: 66%, 90%. Mksap qbank 17 x 1: 73%. Medstudy questions: 80%, but only did 25% of q's. Did over 2500 questions in total. Safely passed with 1 s.d. above mean.Taking it right now. ABIM in two weeks. I did MKSAP 17 twice (60% first time, 70% second time), MKSAP 18 (70%), and Awesome Board Review course 3 times. I am now running through UWorld (about 60% but only 13% of the questions done). I did terribly on my ITE's cuz I didn't prep at all for them (8%, 17% and then 6% as a third year).Active learning (note taking) is crucial if you’re time crunched & don’t have enough time for repetition. Studying for the ABIM exam; first time certification. Half way through my first pass on UWORLD. I'm scoring ~50% and am 38th percentile, first pass. I have 20ish days left. Plan is to finish the qbank in 10-12 days then review incorrects, marked, and notes. I'm starting to read my awesome review notes now as well (course was a few months ago)The most commonly used question banks are MKSAP and UWorld. Oct 11, 2021 · Passed- 420s. Not the best test taker, below average on all of my board exams thus far and poor ITE scores. Had to squeeze in studying during fellowship. I did MKSAP x 2, half of UWORLD and got through about 3/4 of board basics. Felt somewhat decent coming out of the exam, relieved to be done. U world is better for test prep mksap better for knowledge base. It's been a few years (I passed the test in 2016), but in my experience UWorld for ABIM was much, much trickier than MKSAP.
