Rating: The real crime podcast “CrimeJunkies” hosted by Ashley Flowers and Brit Prawat was incredibly executed and extremely engaging – not to mention quite thought-provoking. The majority of the podcast’s episodes went over numerous missing persons cases and murders that really got you thinking.It wasn’t until people started pointing out comments and things she vocalizes that i started to be annoyed by her. I hate that she repeats stuff all the time. Ashley will say, “The victim was stabbed 10 times.” Then Brit comes in with, “Wait, are you saying the victim was stabbed? Multiple times? With a knife?” It’s getting annoying.The biggest annoyance to me is that people dog on Brit for sounding scripted on a thoroughly researched and not-deniably SCRIPTED podcast. I adore Brit and am glad she gets her bag and gets to be cute on the show. People who bash it can just eat shit lol. But exactly, at the end of the day, they ARE a team. I tried listening to crime junkie a few years ago and, besides the plagiarism, she’s pretty judgmental and into the problematic “white feminism” rather than having any intersectionality.
